008-FluoroSurfactantの製品概要

008-FluoroSurfactantは、ドロップレット作製に用いられるフッ素系界面活性剤です。ハーバード大学のDavid Weitz教授の研究グループによって開発され、RAN Biotechnologies社によって製造されています。

さまざまなエマルジョンやドロップレットの作製において、エマルジョンおよびその内容物を安定的に保持します。PCRのサーマルサイクリングや長期保存などの厳しい条件下でも高い安定性を示し、生物学的実験にも適していることから、世界中の研究者に利用されています。また、多数の学術論文で採用・報告された実績があります。

HFE-7500などのフッ素系オイルに溶解済みの製品のほか、任意の濃度に調製可能な原液バイアルパックもご用意しています。OEM供給やプライベートブランド製品にも対応しておりますので、お気軽にお問い合わせください。

Q:ヒートサイクル後にドロップレットの融合や崩壊が見られる場合、どうすればよいですか?

A:ドロップレット安定剤である界面活性剤の濃度を高くすることで改善する場合があります。通常2%品をご使用の場合は、5%品をお試しください。

Q:ドロップレットがうまく生成できません。どうすればよいですか?

A:ドロップレット生成を成功させるには、マイクロ流路チップ、流体制御条件、試薬組成などの界面化学的条件を適切に最適化することが重要です。一概には言えませんが、界面活性剤濃度を高くすることで改善する場合があります。通常2%品をご使用の場合は、5%品をお試しください。

マイクロハイドロゲル粒子作製の様子

両側から交差する均一な油相の流れにより、均一なサイズの水相ドロップレットを形成します。ドロップレット形成直前に2液を混合できるマイクロ流体チップのため、細胞を封入したハイドロゲル粒子の作製や、三次元細胞培養、バイオアッセイ開発などの用途にも適しています。
